The Thirst - Bloodlines

Its almost daybreak soon so im going to make this post short before the sun comes up ;-)

Lyle Maeterlinck & Mars Bracken have their new Bloodlines hud game out and boy was it worth the wait. I've had a very busy night of biting victims and having a blast! The fangs & hud are extremely easy to use...if theres something you dont happen to understand the very clear instructions will point you in the right direction. Not only does it come with fangs, emotes ao, and a biting animation but it also gives you the ability to add your own animations to it. The system itself uses blood as currency and is connected to a secure website that allows you to track your status and other clans. Because my Gaelic sucks (and not in a good way) i've named my clan Die & Let Die for now until I get it translated lol.

The fangs are amazingly lifelike...and are hidden from view (until you bare them) so makes it that much easier to sneak up on your victims. And of course the hud has dripping blood you can turn off and on at will.


Once you bite a victim they are offered bite marks from you as well as a LM to Lyle & Mar's Blood store in case they want to get into the fun themselves (and who can resist!). Thanks to my Sister In Law Jane for allowing me to suck her neck and to Cataplexia for the well timed picture!



As well you can purchase Blood Cask to keep blood in (im sitting on it in top picture), a medal that displays any badges you have won called The Honors, A Spike to take out blood faster and an Amulet that protects you from losing blood for 5 days.

All in all I would give this hud a 10 out of 10...but maybe im bias...ive been a fan of Blood store since last September when I purchased The Brethren (pet bats) and have yet to get a bad product from them lol. This new hud game has many other features I haven't described here but that sun will be coming up soon and I need to find my coffin :)

Avatar Rendering Costs

Discovered that OnRez browser was missing a couple of features so decided to give SL a shot again. And of course SL has made me update yet again (3rd time in less then a month). This time SO far all seems ok. No major freezeup crashes when people IM me. If anything they gave me a couple of new toys to play with.

The first being the lagometer. To start it just go to help Lag Meter Not very impressed with this as I really dont believe in their tips showing under the 3 sections but it is something new to play with. Ive noticed that my network and Server are always in green and my client is usually yellow or red. Under client their explanation is "Possible Cause: Too many complex objects in scene." Funny how ive seen it in yellow when im standing on a simple platform 700m in the air totally nude with NOTHING around me and I get this message.

I have my draw distance set up at the lowest 96m. In the picture below you will see very little complex objects. A bird bath with moving water, one prim trees/ferns. Around me is a 26 prim sculpti tree, a couple of sculpti chairs and a pool with moving water similiar to the bird bath. You will see that the client is showing yellow. I have stood here before in the same scene and seen the client green so I know its not the things around me. There has to be another explanation for the changes in the colour in the lagmeter. Another toy LL has put in the new RC Client Second Life 1.20.5 is something called Avatar Rendering Costs. They have an explanation of this on their blog pages. You will notice in this picture that mine is now at 2134. It has been fun to try different hair, clothes etc to see the different results in the total. Although my hair is very low prim compared to most I notice that it does add a lot to it. I am also wearing a mean kitty on my shoulder which adds on quite a bit more prims. I saw someone posting a reply to LLs post that he has seen the average av being 500 prims. I'm very doubtful over those figures but will be doing some observations of my own in the future. If anything I will make sure to go down to the bare minimum ugly if I go on any sims with more then 10 people on it. I also doubt that this new LL Tutorial will change little if anything when it comes to fashion on SL. Afterall isn't the best thing about SL is the ability to create yourself into anything you want?

Sorry for the lack of posting. Between RL interferring and the fact that the last 2 updates of the SL RC software has made life hell for me on SL Ive not had the time or opportunity to blog anything. I am trying out a couple of new browsers and so far one seems to be ok. Ok is the word here...its nothing special but at least so far im not freezing up when anyone IMs me and im not getting as many weird lines as I used to. Its like swimming in pea soup to do anything but the water is blue again most times lol.

Maybe one day ill be able to afford another graphics card but for now I do with what ive got. Hopefully in a couple of weeks ill be able to blog something new again :)

Vampire Princess

Saw on the Freestyle blog that Blue Blood had free skins so tped over to check them out. While waiting for the box to rez what caught my eye but a beautiful black latex vampress outfit. Now im usually not a huge latex fan as the white portions on most outfits look like blobs rather then a shiny highlight but this texture was done beautifully.


For 450L the dress also came with full length gloves, puffy shoulder sleeves, cape & shoes. Very excellent price considering the quality of it. The sleeves are full mod so thankfully I was able to stretch very easily to fit me. Of course this also gave me the perfect chance to use the new hair I just bought from Calico Ingmann. Love the updo sweep of it with the silvery tips..perfect fit for this outfit. Now to find a vampire ball and a few victims ;-p

Lace & Leather

So im sitting here this morning wondering where to get lindens from when I figured id try my cc as a lark and lo & behold it worked (damn them). Me with lindens can be a dangerous thing..so many decisions. Then I remembered last night when my partner in crime was trying to convince me that lacy stockings did go with my Tomb Raider look I was wearing yesterday. So figured perfect excuse to go out and get another short mini to wear with my fairly new leather jacket and wear those stockings he seems to have a fetish for.

After a few crashes (thank you SL for the forced upgrade), I found the perfect little mini at Cipher. Wish I had tried them first as it would have saved me a lot of frustration.

Not only does this skirt look hot, its got the cutest little bow on the back that keeps it looking different from the plain old minis you see everywhere. To make it even more perfect its mod which means I can actually make it fit me rather then forcing my shape to fit it.

To top it off the skirt has the same buckles as my now favourite leather jacket (also from Cipher) The details on the jacket are amazing. And again its mod so easy to fit to your shape. Even though I went shopping with the thought of buying a skirt to match some stockings I already had I also saw that Cipher had some new ones and figured I would live by yesterdays Mantra of the day. Topped it off with a great little lace choker from Digital Knickers, boots from Last Call (now Jaywalk) and a great little lacy bra I already had in my inventory from Luxe. I love the look of it all put together.....seems to have a look but don't touch look.

Welcome to yet another SL Fashion Blog

Ok I admit it...I got bored, was low on lindens and was sick of just window shopping for the hell of it. So figured why not make a blog. At the very least it might keep me sane trying to remember where I got this or that. Ill just blog the good stuff as I find it :)
